Campbell’s Crime Report for the week of March 4 – The Mercury News
February 14th
7:02 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A 54-year-old woman was found under the influence of a controlled substance.
11:10 a.m. in the 2400 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone stole several items and fled on a BMX bike.
During the night in the 400 block of Vandell Avenue: Someone broke the window of a vehicle.
2:45 p.m. at Bascom Avenue and Shamrock Drive: A 27-year-old man was arrested for a vehicle code violation. During a search of his vehicle, it was discovered that he was in possession of cocaine intended for sale and transport. He was also in possession of a loaded Glock gun, prescription pills for sale, and mail from several victims. A mailbox was found open and the suspect was in possession of burglary tools. It turned out that he was under the influence of a controlled substance.
2:30 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone used the victim’s debit card to make a purchase.
6:37 p.m. in the 1300 block of Camden Avenue: A 37-year-old man stole items and was found to be under the influence of a stimulant.
11:20 p.m. on South Bascom Avenue and Campisi Way: An officer observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway and discovered that the driver, 37, had passed out at the wheel. The driver turned out to be DUI in suspected possession of cocaine.
12:57 a.m. at Darryl Drive and Mona Way: A 27-year-old man was arrested for multiple vehicle code violations. He was on official probation and was in possession of drug paraphernalia, a debit card and a driver’s license that did not belong to him.
2:14 a.m. East Hamilton and Meridian Avenues: A 27-year-old woman was arrested for multiple vehicle code violations and was declared a DUI.
February 15
Overnight in the 400 block of Harrison Avenue: Someone entered a locked vehicle and stole an item.
Overnight in the 00 block of North Third Street: A gray 2001 GMC Yukon was stolen.
11:40 a.m. on East Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Drive: The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun at the victim during a road rage argument. The suspect fled in a black 2014 Lexus.
12:29 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A 41-year-old man was found under the influence of a controlled substance.
11:43 a.m. in the 400 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Someone stole the victim’s parrot after leaving it unattended on February 13.
2:58 p.m. in the 700 block of Birch Drive: Someone used the victim’s credit card to charge $710.
12:26 p.m. in the 1200 block of White Oaks Road: Suspect rented a 2017 GMC Savana on Feb. 6 and did not return the truck even after a cease and desist was issued.
8:11 p.m. at 1600 S. Bascom Ave. : Someone was disturbing and spitting on the victim when confronted. He fled before officers arrived.
February 16
Overnight in the 600 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Property managers found bare copper wiring from the building.
12:43 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone stole the victim’s backpack after leaving it on a table.
7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone broke into two parked vehicles and stole items.
8:22 p.m. in the 00 block of North San Tomas Aquino Road: Three suspects shoplifted $200 worth of merchandise and drove off in a red 2001 Chevrolet SUV.
8:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of White Oaks Road: Someone stole both license plates from a 2015 Toyota Prius.
11:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Campisi Way: Someone was seen prowling the terrace. They fled before officers arrived.
2:20 a.m. at E. Hamilton Avenue and Almarida Drive: A 24-year-old man was arrested for a vehicle code violation and was declared a DUI.
February 17
12:13 p.m. in the 1000 block of Erin Way: A man, 43, spat at the victim and was causing a disturbance. It was discovered that he was under the influence and in possession of methamphetamine.
Night in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue: Someone tagged the restroom.
Night in the 500 block of Rincon Avenue: Someone tagged the restroom.
3:00 p.m. 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue: A 32-year-old man was contacted after a disturbance and found to be under the influence of methamphetamine.
4:03 p.m. in the 1300 block of Ridgeley Drive: A 61-year-old man was brought to the police station after being paranoid. He was found under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of a loaded Glock .40 Phantom.
7:42 p.m. in the 1100 block of Monica Lane: A man reported that the suspect punched him during an argument over rent money.
10:23 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone allegedly threatened an employee and left. The suspect denied the charge.
12:17 a.m. in the 1400 block of White Oaks Road: Someone forced entry.
Overnight in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone broke into the building and stole an item.
Block 200 of Chalet Woods Place: Someone accessed the victim’s account and stole $400.
February 18
Overnight on Lottie Lane: Someone stole mail and packages.
9:38 a.m. in Dell and Sunnyoaks: Someone threw a rock and damaged a vehicle.
Night in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: the rear plate was stolen from a silver Hyundai Elantra.
3:08 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A 39-year-old man was causing a disturbance and was too drunk to care for himself.
Night in the 00 block of Redding Road: the rear plate was stolen from a silver 21 Toyota Camry.
5:08 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: An officer located a stolen black 2016 BMW 750 and turned it over to the owner’s employee, who was waiting for a private towing company. Two hours later, the employee reported that someone left in the BMW.
5:51 p.m. Central and Hamilton Avenues: A 32-year-old female was involved in a collision. It was discovered that she was under the combined influence of alcohol and a stimulant. She possessed drug paraphernalia, had outstanding warrants and was arrested. During the search of his vehicle, a non-serial AR-15 with high capacity magazines and burglary tools was located.
9:49 p.m. in the 300 block of Dunster Drive: A 2003 Lexus ES300 has been stolen. Campbell Police were later informed by Brentwood Police that the suspect was picked up from the car and arrested.
4:13 a.m. at John D. Morgan Park: A 32-year-old man was contacted for a vehicle code violation. He was under the influence of a controlled substance and possessed methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia.
February 19
Overnight in the 100 block of Del Prado Drive: Someone punched a hole in a vehicle’s gas tank.
During the night in the 2400 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone threw a rock through a window.
8:05 p.m. in the 400 block of East Campbell Avenue: Multiple callers reported a 51-year-old man shouting racial slurs at people downtown, walking and skateboarding in the middle of the street, and moving benches. The man was aggressive and resisted arrest.
Block 600 of Budd Avenue: The front plate was stolen from a Chevrolet Tahoe.
1:48 a.m. Campbell and Central Avenues: A 23-year-old man was arrested for a vehicle code violation. It turned out he was drunk and was arrested.
4:57 a.m. in the 800 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone broke into a business. Loss unknown at this time.
February 20
Overnight in the 1000 block of Shady Dale Avenue: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole items.
Overnight in the 1300 block of El Moro Drive: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole property.
12:36 p.m. in the 900 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Someone used the victim’s personal identifying information to open a credit account and purchase tires.
4:13 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A 39-year-old man caused a disturbance and was found to be too drunk to care for himself.
5:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Bascom Avenue: Two suspects reportedly consumed narcotics inside a vehicle. A suspect was on active parole on narcotics charges and was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. The other suspect was in possession of an outstanding warrant for brandishing a weapon.
9:06 p.m. in the 900 block of Ravenscourt Avenue: A 22-year-old man had a physical altercation with his father’s boyfriend and his girlfriend, both of whom declined to prosecute. He was found guilty of breaching a peaceful contact restraining order in which his sister is the protected party.
4:28 p.m. in the 200 block of North Third Street: Someone stole a package from a porch.
10:51 p.m. in the 600 block of Marathon Drive: Two suspects attempted to steal a locked bicycle by unscrewing the saddle from the frame. They fled when the victim saw them.
9:46 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: (Two suspects stole a variety of items from the store and fled before officers arrived.
12:56 a.m. at South Bascom Avenue and Dry Creek Road: A 33-year-old woman was arrested for multiple vehicle code violations. She was found to be driving under the combined influence of alcohol and marijuana and was placed under arrest.
