Pixelmator Pro adds the ability to directly export assets to Motion

Pixelmator Pro is in a hurry one last update before the new year. The image and graphics editing suite today offers motion export capabilities, allowing users to create compositions inside Pixelmator Pro and then easily import them into motion graphics for video. .

Motion is Apple’s equivalent to Final Cut Pro for creating titles and transitions for use in movies. New integration with Pixelmator Pro lets you create artwork and assets that can be used directly as Motion objects.

This update also brings much richer support for SVG files, and Pixelmator Pro can transliterate them directly into a Motion export, significantly speeding up vector designers’ workflows for video graphics work.

Motion support includes image masks, text along a path, non-destructive Gaussian blurs, native drop shadows, and more.

SVG import and export has also been revamped when it comes to the standard Pixelmator Pro experience. The company boasts of now having 4x better compatibility with its SVG target test suite.

Pixelmator Pro is available exclusively via the Mac App Store.
